Overall service intervals
In general, Porsche recommends basic service every 10,000 miles or after one year, whichever comes first. We also recommend replacing spark plugs every 30,000 miles for proper maintenance. Based on that foundation, Porsche also recommends major service at intervals of 40,000 miles each. In other words, we recommend seeing us for major service for your Porsche Macan at 40,000 miles, 80,000 miles, 120,000 miles, 160 miles and beyond.
Regular oil changes: The building block of Macan maintenance
Having your motor oil and filter replaced every 10,000 miles is the most fundamental service task we can perform for you and your Porsche Macan. The reason, of course, is that your Porsche engine is the soul of your Macan. It's operating with hundreds of intricate precision parts, many moving at very high speeds and some coming into frequent contact with each other. All that movement creates friction which can lead to wear-out.
In some cases, oil changes might need to occur more often
Based on your unique driving style, it might be important to bring your Porsche Macan to us at Porsche of the Main Line more frequently. For example, if you're driving your Macan through the streets of Philadelphia a great deal, logging many stop-and-go city miles, that kind of driving can be extra-hard on a highly-engineered Porsche Macan engine. That can require more frequent maintenance: Ask us about the right intervals for your Macan.
