Performance
The Porsche 718 Cayman comes in many different configurations, from the standard version powered by a 300-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine to the mighty GT4 RS. In between lies the 718 Cayman S, which uses a similar engine but increases output to 350 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. A naturally-aspirated flat-six engine configuration is available starting with the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, offering 394 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque and accompanied by the ferocious sound of a naturally-aspirated Porsche six-cylinder.
Towards the top of the food chain is the 718 Cayman GT4, which uses a six-cylinder boxer engine to develop 414 horsepower. It features trim-specific additions like special 20-inch staggered-width wheels, huge six-piston front brakes, and a fixed rear wing that increases downforce and rear grip. Above that sits the aspirational GT4 RS, which emphasizes track-ready performance even more. A power increase to 493 horsepower and options like magnesium wheels and carbon ceramic brakes make the GT4 RS the ultimate mid-engine sports car.
