    Sticking only to what it does best has never been what the Porsche Panamera was about. It was about simply everything. Through the boldness of courage, the Panamera seeks out and flaunts every attribute of Porsche's history, dedicating equal parts luxury as well as storied Porsche performance. The second-generation Panamera elevates itself the same way a purpose-built sports car would. Its new engine options, both the available V6 and V8, were downsized yet beefed up to deliver performance on par with supercars but with even more everyday efficiency. The PDK transmission now pushes eight gears for the sake of economy, but spirited drivers will click through the gears in milliseconds with sports car acceleration. All the while, it is a restyled luxury coddler for the modern age. The cabin is re-purposed through minimalism, removing nearly all physical buttons around the center console and integrating touch-sensitive buttons, flanking a central touchscreen that operates all facets of infotainment. It proffers a technological aura while delivering on the most classic Porsche mantra.
